Project Control Info

Cost Control

Cost Control is the process of monitoring the status of the project to update the project  costs and managing changes to the cost baseline. The key benefits of this process is that it provides the means to recognize variance from the plan in order to take corrective action and minimize risk.

Schedule Control

Schedule Control requires Gantt charts. These are bar charts that represent the schedule information where activities are listed vertically and dates horizontally. Each activity's duration is placed in a bar format according to its start/end dates.

Next, all activities that rely on one another are connected using predecessors and successors.  This is done by applying the Critical Path Method (CPM).

Speedicalc automatically provides the project's Gantt charts, and have made the CPM process extremely easy.

Gantt Chart

This is the "Project Schedule".

When asked to provide a schedule, it is always in the format where the activities are listed, each with a horizontal bar displaying along the project timeline according to its start and end date.

Project & Activity Status

Each activity's status is identified on the Gantt chart. When selecting or running your cursor over the activity the duration and the percent completion is automatically provided

Precedence Diagram & Critical Path Methods PDM & CPM

Speedicalc combines the methods used to determine the project schedule and obtain its status & performance as it's progressing.

Our software is a Project Management Information System (PMIS) tool that provides the capability to plan, organize, and adjust the sequence of activities.

This PMIS tool applies both the Precedence Diagraming Method (PDM) & Critical Path Method (CPM). The result is a an extremely accurate project scheduling tool that calculates and provides project status and percent completion; automatically with each user entry.
